Film And Food Festival Underway In Forest

Showings begin Friday at the Lambton Film and Food Festival in Forest.

Special themed dinners are planned throughout the weekend, but Sunday's Chinese Buffet is the only one with remaining tickets.

Spokesperson Susan Hewett they're featuring nine movies at the historic Kineto Theatre over the weekend.

"Two documentaries, two foreign films, comedy, dramas, just a nice selection of movies." says Hewett. "Some of them have big Hollywood stars like Maggie Smith and Helen Mirren, some of the others you might not be able to see around here, you'd have to go to Toronto to see them."

There are three daily viewings throughout the weekend at 1pm, 4pm, and 8:30pm.

Activities are schedule at Rotary Park throughout the day Saturday and Sunday.

Also, the Forest Farmers Market opens for the summer Friday morning.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
