Update: Severe Thunderstorm Warning Ended

Bluewater Power crews were dealing with some scattered outages Sunday evening, particularly in the city's northend.

Power was out temporarily for customers in the Cathcart Blvd. Michigan Ave. and Lakeshore Rd. area due to severe weather.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Sarnia, Petrolia and Western Lambton County around 5pm, advising of a cluster of storms over Michigan tracking northeastward.

By 6pm the warning would be updated to include all of Sarnia-Lambton. The weather agency ended the warning for the area around 6:40pm.

The system, which brought large hail, gusty winds and heavy rains signalled a slightly cooler and less humid airmass for the region, dealing with its fist spell of very warm and humid weather of the season.
