UPDATE: 402 Open After Overnight Crash

Lambton OPP continue to investigate an overnight crash involving three transport trucks that closed the westbound lanes of highway 402.

Constable Chris Doupe says officers were dispatched to the highway just west of Indian Rd. around 11pm.

"We had reports that a transport truck had collided with two additional transports that were stopped at the toll booths heading into the US," says Doupe.

"Investigation is continuing but we do expect charges in this incident."

Doupe says the driver of the initial transport, 24-year-old Talwinder Singh of Brampton, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

He says there was no concern for dangerous goods or spills.

The roadway was closed for about 10 hours and re-opened around 9am.
