Black Bear Spotted At Lambton Shores Property

Lambton OPP say a black bear was spotted in Lambton Shores Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the area of Cedarview Dr. around 6:30am. They say a resident reported seeing a 300 lbs bear in his backyard near a cliff sloping toward the Lake Huron beach.

Once spotted, the bear left the property and was last seen heading toward the beach.

Police say black bears are no strangers to Ontario. In the past few years we've seen bear and moose in various parts of Lambton county.

If you see a bear that appears to be a threat, call OPP or the Ministry of Natural Resources.
