Future Doctors Arrive For Discovery Week

Twenty first year medical students from Western University are in Sarnia Lambton this week as part of "Discovery Week".

It gives the future doctors and dentists the chance to interact with health care professionals and their patients.

Four of the students are at Rapids Family Health Team according to spokesperson Cynthia McColeman.

"A lot of the students in the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry are from southwestern Ontario so we hope the home strings pull to pull them back here following graduation," she says.

This is the second of a two week program with 171 medical students involved across southwestern Ontario.
