City Seeking Input On Arena Policy

The City of Sarnia is seeking public input on a new arena administration policy.

The report was developed with input from arena stakeholders and user groups over the last six to eight months.

Sarnia Hockey Association Chair Mike Johnson says the report includes a proposed 5% rate increase for ice rentals beginning in the fall.

He says they also made some changes to the scheduling process.

"We made the regular season starting September 1 to March 31 and that's the traditional hockey season instead of October," says Johnson.

The report can be viewed at  www.city.sarnia.on.ca for the next couple weeks.

The report will then go back to Sarnia City Council for final approval.
