ONA Local Reaches Contract Agreement

A new contract agreement has been reached with 33 members of the Ontario Nurses' Association at Lambton Public Health.

Lambton County Council ratified the deal during its regular meeting in Wyoming Wednesday morning.

County solicitor David Cribbs says the full and part-time staff provide a number of services, like running flu immunizations clinics.

"The contract runs from April 1, 2016 through to March 31, 2020. It contains salary increases in all four of those years, and minor enhancements to benefits," says Cribbs.

Members will receive a wage hike of 1.25% retroactive to April 1 this year and increases of 1.75% in 2017 and 2018, and 1.5% in 2019.
