Residents Urged To Plan A Summer "Staycation"

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is encouraging residents to explore local events and what this region has to offer this summer.

Product Development Coordinator Beverly Horodyski says there are many tourism treasures here.

"Sometimes people feel they have to leave their hometown or area to go on a day trip or vacation, when really we have so many great tourism assets her in Lambton County to discover," says Horodyski.

The organization hosted a special BBQ at the Venetian Blvd. location Friday afternoon to celebrate National Tourism Week and showcase local attractions and events.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
