Roads Closed For Busy Weekend In Downtown Sarnia

Downtown road closures are scheduled in Sarnia this weekend as vendors take to the streets for First Friday and Artwalk.

Sarnia police say Christina St. from George St. to Wellington St. will be closed as of 7am Friday and will re-open to cars on Sunday at 9pm.

Constable John Sottosanti says side streets running off Christina St. will also be shutdown.

"Foot traffic will still be allowed on the sidewalk but no vehicles or bicycles would be appreciated on the roads, says Sottosanti.

"There will be barriers in place to prevent vehicle traffic from entering and we would like to remind residents that downtown businesses will be open."

Sottosanti says residents are being urged to find other spots to park their vehicles for the weekend.
