Car Hits Hydro Pole In Forest Thursday

Lambton OPP are investigating after a car struck a hydro pole on King St. in Forest just before noon Thursday.

Police say it happened between Arthur St. and Gore St.

Investigation revealed that a four door sedan was travelling eastbound on King St. when it suddenly left the roadway, entered onto a portion of the boulevard, and struck a hydro pole.

The pole was sheared in half and remained somewhat upright due to the guide and hydro lines.

The car sustained minor damage and the 21 year old female driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

King St. was closed for the afternoon as repairs were made. It was expected to re-open at 5pm.
