Police Arrest Drunk Driver On E-Bike

Drunk driving is drunk driving, no matter what type of vehicle you're operating.

A Sarnia police officer pulled over an E-bike Thursday night at 9:15pm because the driver wasn't wearing a helmet as stipulated by the Highway Traffic Act.

As he was talking to the 19-year-old woman, he smelled alcohol.

She subsequently blew over the legal limit, was charged with impaired driving and held until she sobered up.

Police remind you that it is illegal to operate any motorized vehicle, whether it be a tractor, riding lawn mower or E-bike, while impaired, on or off the road.
