UPDATE: Hwy. 40 Reopened After Crash

Lambton OPP was forced to close a section of busy Hwy. 40 as a result of a serious crash involving a tractor trailer and car early Wednesday afternoon.

Police say it happened around 1:30pm, Sarnia firefighters and Lambton EMS also responded.

Police say the female driver of the car was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police closed Hwy. 40 in both directions between Plank Rd. and McGregor Rd. until around 7:15pm.

Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call Lambton OPP.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
