Canada Day Comes Early In Bright's Grove

The Bright's Grove Optimist Club's Canada Day Celebrations kick off Saturday, June 25 with a parade at 11am.

It starts from Wildwood Park and goes along Hamilton Rd. to Waterworks Rd. and then to Old Lakeshore, finishing off at Kenwick Park.

Prizes will be awarded for best decorated children's bikes, vehicles and dogs.

Festivities run from noon until 3pm at Kenwick park.

The free evening concert from 8pm-11pm features Scott Manery and the Barnburners.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
