Community Living Receives United Way Funding

It's another example of how your United Way donation helps others.

Community Living Sarnia-Lambton will receive $135,000 over the next three years to help fund its Transition Facilitator Program.

Community Involvement Co-ordinator Norma Hills says about 100 participants will benefit.

"Our aim is to help young students transition into the community, whether that be into work or social or recreational activities," she says. "It also helps senior families that have a son or daughter living at home with a disability plan for their future and the future of their child."

The funding will also be used to provide respite to families with a challenged child of any age.
