UPDATE: Power Restored To Thousands Across Sarnia-Lambton

Sarnia and some other parts of Lambton County received some badly needed rain in thunderstorm activity that rumbled through the area Sunday afternoon and overnight.

Almost 17mm or three quarters of an inch was recorded at Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport.

Over 15,000 Hydro One customers in central and Northern Lambton County had their power disrupted for several hours when a tree fell on power lines.

Most had service restored at about 2am but a small group in St. Clair Township didn't have the lights come back on until a few minutes ago.

Several hundred Bluewater Power customers in south end Sarnia, Petrolia, Watford, Oil Spring, and Alvinston also had their service disrupted

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
