Area Beaches Clear Heading Into Canada Day

Area Lake Huron beaches have a clean bill of health for swimming this long Canada Day weekend.

Lambton Public Health conducts weekly water testing at Grand Bend, Ipperwash, Highland Glen, Brights Grove and Canatara.

There are no warning signs posted at this time.

We're reminded that the water at area beaches may be temporarily polluted for up to 48 hours following heavy rainfall.

While no sampling occurs along the St. Clair River, signs warning of high bacterial levels following heavy rain are permanently posted at Seager Park, Branton Cundick Park and Brander Park.
