Lazary Accepts Coaching Role In Saginaw

The Sarnia Sting will be looking for a new assistant coach for the coming OHL hockey season.

After two years behind the Sting bench, Chris Lazary has accepted an associate coach position with division-rival Saginaw.

The 34-year-old began his coaching career as an assistant coach with the St. Michaels Buzzers in 2010-11 season.

After two seasons with the Buzzers, Lazary moved on to be an assistant coach at his hometown York University.

Lazary was hired as head coach of the Waterloo Siskins in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League in 2013 and won the Cherrey Cup.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
