Emergency Drill At Suncor

The Suncor Sarnia refinery is conducting an emergency response drill Tuesday morning, around 9:45am.

Company spokesperson Jennifer Johnson says due to the nature of the scenario, emergency sirens will be sounded.

She says Sarnia Fire has been invited to participate, so fire trucks may be visible on-site.

"The nature of the scenario is always kept under wraps so that our employees and contractors can respond as if it's an actual incident," says Johnson.

Should an emergency occur during the drill, Johnson says immediate notification will be provided through the regular channels, including the My Community Notification Network and CAER Industry Update Line.
