Small Bear Killed In Crash

A small black bear was killed early this morning when hit by a vehicle in Middlesex County. OPP say an SUV travelling west on Egremont Dr., just west of Poplar Hill, came into collision with the animal around 12:15am. The female driver, from Strathroy-Caradoc, was not injured but the vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front passenger side. OPP remind residents that bear sightings can be reported to the Ministry of Natural Resources at 1-866-514-2327.

There have been numerous sightings in the region recently.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
