Sting Sign 2015 Pick Curtis Egert

The Sarnia Sting have announced the signing of left winger Curtis Egert to a Standard Player Agreement and Education Package.

The 17-year-old Welland native was a 13th round pick of the Sting in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.

He spent the 2015-16 campaign with the Ontario Hockey Academy U17 team. He managed 12 goals and 18 assists for a total of 30 points in 46 games played.

Sting GM Nick Sinclair says the 6', 185 lb Egert is a hard-nosed type of player.

"We’re very pleased to welcome Curtis and his family to the organization," says Sinclair. "He’s a guy who works extremely hard both on and off the ice, and anytime you can add a player like that to the fold, you have to be happy.”

Egert will join the team for training camp later this summer.
