Hot Muffler Blamed For Wheat Field Fire

Dawn-Euphemia volunteer firefighters responded to a wheat field fire on Edys Mills Line, near Esterville Rd. Monday.

Chief Dave Williams says the hot muffler on a pick-up truck is to blame.

Williams says part of the unharvested wheat field was lost before the fire was brought under control .

No injuries were reported

A damage estimate had yet to be determined.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
