Sharky's To Honour Agoya Memberships

Sharky's Athletic Club is stepping up to help members displaced by the abrupt closure of Agoya Fitness Studio last week. Co-owner Cindy vanHoogenhuize says they've decided to honour all active and good standing Agoya memberships. "This week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 3pm-7pm we're inviting all Agoya members in and we're going to put them in the computer, give them their four digit number and they will have access to all of our boot camps, spinning, yoga and our entire cardio and weight training facility at no cost." vanHoogenhuize says they have until September 15 to activate any outstanding memberships at their 1596 London Rd. gym. "We did that because we feel people are busy over the summer, with vacations and children, so we wanted to give them some time to get in to facilitate their memberships." Notices to the public were posted on the doors of Agoya's 1315 Michigan Ave. location last Tuesday. Agoya said it permanently closed because it was no longer financially viable.

Agoya's landlord posted a notice that the fitness studio's tenancy had been terminated due to unpaid rent.
