Charity Poker Run On This Weekend

The Sarnia Splash Charity Poker Run is back for another year.

President of the Performance Boat Club Meghan Brousseau says they enjoyed the trip up the St. Clair River so much, they wanted to do it again.

She expects about 30 boats to take part, leaving from the Sarnia Bay Marina around 10am Saturday morning.

"We're going to idle up under the bridge, turn around, and then start blasting down," says Brousseau. "If you're anywhere near the bridge, by the bridge, or along the sides of the river, it will definitely be something to see."

Brousseau says they'll take the same route as last year, stopping at the Windsor Bay Yacht Club for lunch, before returning to Sarnia for the evening festivities.

Money raised from the event are going to the St. Joseph Hospice of Sarnia-Lambton.
