The national weather agency cancelled the watch after 4pm, saying conditions were no longer favourable for the development of severe storms.
Very slow moving thunderstorms with heavy rain and intense lightning prompted warnings in the Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex areas.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
