UPDATE: Charges Laid After Teen Found Injured

Lambton OPP have laid charges against an Adelaide-Metcalfe Twp. man after a male teen was found with serious injuries on LaSalle Line earlier this month.

Police and Lambton EMS were called to the 8500 block of LaSalle Line around 4:30am August 6, and found the 18-year-old man lying unconscious on the road.

The Lambton OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Unit and OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene.

The 18-year-old has been identified as Mitchell Jack Rops of Brooke-Alvinston Twp.

He was initially transported to hospital with serious but life threatening injuries. Police now say his condition has been upgraded and he's expected to recover.

Lambton OPP say 47-year-old Michael Sanders was arrested upon conclusion of their investigation and has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

He'll appear in Sarnia court October 3.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
