Sarnia Police Nab Impaired Driver

Sarnia Police picked up yet another impaired driver over the weekend.

At about 1:30 Sunday morning, an officer headed south on Vidal St. was confronted by a vehicle headed the wrong way, northbound on Vidal.

The officer activated the cruiser's emergency lights and the vehicle pulled over. The driver allegedly became verbally aggressive, questioning why she had been stopped in the first place.

When she was taken to the police station she blew two and a half times the legal limit and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
