Man Sought, Woman Charged With Conspiracy In Park Assault

Sarnia police are looking for an unknown male and have charged a 21-year-old woman with conspiracy in connection with a vicious assault in Germain Park.

Around 12:30am Friday August 26, police say a 23-year-old Lambton County resident was walking through the park with a woman when he was attacked from behind.

Police say the victim sustained substantial facial injuries and is missing his Samsung Galaxy cell phone and his wallet containing cash.

The suspect is described as white, 120 lbs, with brown eyes and short brown hair.

Police say a 21-year-old Sarnia resident was charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, aggravated assault and robbery.

Any witnesses with information about the attack and the unknown male are asked to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-TIPS) or Detective Constable Jeff Rovers at 519-344-8861 ext. 6159.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
