Sarnia Police Investigating Jogger Assault

Sarnia police are looking for the public's help in their investigation of an assault on a jogger earlier this week. Police say the victim was running along Wellington St. east of Walnut Ave. at about 6:15am Monday August 29, when a man approached from behind. The victim was grabbed and assaulted. The suspect is described as a white male, with dark hair, wearing dark pants and a dark t-shirt. The sex of the victim, the extent of injury, or other details are not being released at this time. Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
