Three Vehicles Collide At Confed And Mitton

Two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a crash involving a van, truck and car after 9am Friday at Mitton St. and Confederation St. in Sarnia.

City police say a pick-up travelling eastbound on Confederation collided with a mini-van that was northbound on Mitton, sending the van off the road and onto the sidewalk. The truck sideswiped another vehicle stopped and facing westbound on Confederation.

The driver of the van and the stationary vehicle were taken to hospital for observation and the driver of the truck was charged with failing to stop for a red light.

The intersection was closed for several hours.

Police, Sarnia fire and Lambton EMS all responded at about 9:20am.
