Victim Of Plane Crash Identified

Sarnia police say a 65-year-old city man died in a plane crash southeast of Chris Hadfield Airport Saturday.

Keith Murray was the sole occupant of an ultra-light aircraft that lost a wing and spiraled into a corn field north of London Line near Brigden Rd. at about 11:45am.

Police say Transport Canada is trying to determine why a wing came off the airplane.

The Transport Canada Safety Board has taken several items from the aircraft for further examination in Toronto.

Sarnia police say their involvement in the investigation is complete.

Police thank all witnesses who called in with information when the crash occurred.
