Rear-End Crash On 402 In Sarnia (GALLERY)

OPP, firefighters and EMS responded to the westbound 402 in Sarnia at about 6:45pm Labour Day Monday for a rear-end crash involving three transport trucks.

Police reported via Twitter that multiple vehicles were involved approaching Colborne Rd.

Traffic was moving slowly past the crash scene.

Lambton OPP say a tractor trailer travelling westbound came into collision with another transport lined up waiting to pay toll at the Blue Water Bridge. The initial collision caused a chain reaction crash involving a total of three tractor trailers. Luckily no one was hurt. A 38-year-old man from Ajax, Ontario is charged with careless driving.

Police say three of four westbound lanes will remain closed for a significant period because of vehicle damage and trailer loads.

Motorists are advised to slow down and proceed cautiously through the area. Rear-end crash on westbound 402 near Colborne Rd. Sept. 5, 2016 (BlackburnNews.com photo by Dave Dentinger)Rear-end crash on westbound 402 near Colborne Rd. Sept. 5, 2016 (BlackburnNews.com photo by Dave Dentinger)
