Rash of Sarnia Vehicle Thefts

Sarnia police are looking for individuals responsible for a rash of vehicle thefts Wednesday.

Around 7:40am an officer investigated after a grey 2003 GMC Yukon Denali, with ads for "Natural Healing Lamps" on both back windows, was taken from the driveway of a home on Indian Rd. License plate BLEF642.

The same officer also took a report in the Stonecrest and Colborne Rd. area about a recovered black 2005 Cadillac Escalade reported stolen in Brampton.

There was another vehicle theft reported in the area of McGee St. in Sarnia where witnesses, earlier, had spotted two males loading items into what is believed to have been the stolen Denali.

A pickup truck stolen in London was recovered in the area as well.

Police also responded to the 1000-block of Lakeshore Rd. where a 2004 grey Escalade with the license plate BHLT365 was taken from a home and an attached 20 ft trailer was later found abandoned in the middle of Indian Rd.

Police believe all the incidents are related because of the timing and locations and types of vehicles involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
