Sarnia police are looking for a witness to a violent assault that occurred around 4pm Monday in the area of Lincoln Park Ave. and Cecil St.
Police say a 54-year-old male pedestrian was assaulted after a confrontation with a man in his 20s that was driving a white Mazda hatchback.
The victim remains in London hospital in critical care.
Police believe a man wearing a blue shirt was engaged in conversation just prior to the assault with the driver of the car somewhere on Lincoln Park Ave. west of Cecil.
The witness, or anyone knowing who the witness is, as asked to call Detective Constable Mike Kahnert at 519-344-8861 ext. 6196.
