Courtright Resident Wins Lottery Prize

Sarnia-Lambton has another lottery winner.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming says Michael Hurley of Courtright won over $86,000 in the August 24 Lotto 6/49 draw.

“I play LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX, both with ENCORE every week,” said Hurley. “I checked my ticket the day after the draw at home and went back to the store to validate my ticket.”

He says the retailer scanned his ticket and the words 'Big Winner' appeared on the screen.

"The retailer got so excited and gave me a few high fives. It was so much fun but I still wasn’t sure how much I won. Soon after, OLG called and confirmed the amount.”

Hurley says he'll pay off home renovation bills and put some of the winnings aside for his daughter's school tuition.

The winning ticket was bought at Mac's on Lyndoch St. in Corunna.
