Online Campaign To Pick School Mascot

Great Lakes Secondary School has launched a three week campaign to pick a mascot and school colours.

Suggestions may be submitted via the school website, http://glss.lkdsb.net/ and students and staff will have a chance to submit their ideas at various Student Council run events. An Identity Committee comprised of students, staff, parents, and community members says there is no limit to the number of different suggestions you may submit and you can include the rationale behind your choice. However, they say this is not a vote, so there is no need to submit your choice more than once. The campaign wraps up October 7. The Committee was formed after trustees voted to consolidate SCITS and St. Clair Secondary Schools.
