Robbery Leads To Drug Bust On Colborne

Sarnia police have charged four people after a robbery led to a drug bust over the weekend.

Police say a 20-year-old Sarnia man who went to an apartment in the 900 block of Colborne Rd. late Saturday night to sell some items, was struck twice in the back with an expandable baton and told to hand over all his belongings.

The victim's cell phones and wallet were taken after which he was able to run from the residence and call police.

A search warrant was executed at about 1:45am Sunday during which police found the baton and $3,500 worth of marijuana and marijuana resin.

Four people, all from Sarnia, a 17-year-old female and three males, aged 26, 22 and 21, face drug possession and trafficking charges.

The two younger males, also charged with adult robbery with violence, were in custody awaiting bail hearings while the other two accused were released.

The victim was not seriously injured.
