United Way Campaign Off To A Solid Start

The Sarnia-Lambton United Way fundraising campaign has already raised about $750,000.

Executive Director Dave Brown says the 2016 campaign officially kicked off only a week ago with the annual "Day of Caring".

"We just finished week one of the 2016 campaign and so far we're in pretty good shape, right now we're approaching 40% of our $2-million goal which represents about $750,000", says Brown.

Brown says they're launching a new fundraising event next week, 'Paint the Town Red'.

Registration for the event on the 27th, where participants will paint a local landscape with the help of a local artist, is $50. Dates are also scheduled in October and November.
