Blue Water Bridge Workers Talks Stall

Talks have reached an impasse for 47 Public Service Alliance of Canada employees at the Blue Water Bridge.

Local 501 President Paul Haney says they're in a 'cooling off' period after talks broke off September 10.

"Our last deal expired on the seventh of November of 2014," he says. "It's been almost two years now. Our members are anxious to get something settled, that's for sure."

The maintenance personnel , toll collectors, and currency exchangers will be in a legal strike position October 6.

Haney says the main issues revolve around benefits, a fare wage progression and scheduling of full and part time employees.
