Canadian Bridge Toll To Remain The Same

Tolls paid in Canadian currency at the Blue Water Bridge will not change this fall.

The Federal Bridge Corporation reviews the tolls twice a year based on the dollar exchange rate.

It says the loonie has gained some strength over the past six months, so passenger vehicle tolls paid in Canadian currency will remain at $4 per trip.

Tolls paid in U.S. funds will actually drop from $3.50 to $3.

Commercial vehicle rates per axle will remain at $4.25 Canadian per trip and fall by 50 cents to $3 U.S.

The rates take effect October 1.
