Walk For Memories At Lambton College

Its the annual Walk For Memories Sunday in Sarnia-Lambton.

Alzheimer Society Event Coordinator Eve Morgan says they're hoping to raise between $3,000 and $5,000 from the event.

"Right now in Sarnia-Lambton there's over 3,000 people that are suffering from Alzheimer's and related dementia says Morgan. "The money raised will go towards programs and outreach, programs that help families interact with the Alzheimer's patient."

Sunday's Walk For Memories begins at 10am at Lambton College.

For the first time in the region, a school has joined the effort.

160 students and teachers at Ecole elementaire Les Rapides held a walk Friday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
