Commercial Vehicle Safety Blitz

The majority of commercial vehicles checked in a safety blitz last week were taken off the road.

Sarnia police assisted Ministry of Transportation officers September 21.

Of the 22 vehicles inspected, 17 were taken out of service, seven had their licence plates seized, and 31 charges were laid for various infractions.

The operators of commercial vehicles are reminded they're responsible for the condition of their vehicles and all logs and other paperwork that's required.
