Ribfest Proceeds Benefit Three Local Charities

Sarnia Ribfest held at Hiawatha Horse Park over the Labour Day weekend raised nearly $9,200 for three local charities.

The event hosted by Northern Heat Rib Series was attended by several thousand people.

Cheques were being presented Thursday afternoon to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, Sarnia-Lambton Rebound and St. Clair Child and Youth.

The principals of Northern Heat Rib Series say they're looking forward to staging the event again next year on a bigger scale featuring more local vendors and entertainment.
