UPDATE: Fatal Crash Closes Portion Of Nauvoo Rd.

One person is dead and another has been taken to hospital following a head-on crash in Warwick Township.

Lambton Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday just before 2pm, emergency crews responded to the scene on Nauvoo Rd. following the crash between a four-door sedan and a pickup truck. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

The male driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld while the next of kin are notified.

The male driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Nauvoo Rd. is expected to be closed between Birnam Line and Brick Yard Line until at least 8pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
