United Way Campaign Nearing Half Way Mark

Only three weeks into the campaign and the Sarnia-Lambton United Way has raised $960,000.

Executive Director Dave Brown says that's about 48% of their $2-million goal.

He says several campaigns and events in the coming weeks will help push them over the half way point.

"We've got the Locally Lambton Dinner coming up on Saturday, October 29 and we've got two more campaigns that are running this week, Enbridge Gas and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and many of the schools just kicked off on Friday," says Brown.

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 20 agencies providing 37 programs and services to the community.
