Garden Of Life Promotes Organ Donation

A special garden promoting organ donation was officially opened at Bluewater Health's Sarnia site Wednesday morning.

A ribbon cutting at the Garden of Life, located within the Shell Healing Garden, marked 22 years of service by Sarnia Organ Donor's Awareness (SODA).

"We want people to recognize out of sadness, comes life, and we want them to be aware of the importance of registering to be a donor," says Connie Ellis, a long time member of SODA's board of directors. "Hopefully people will see it, and maybe they'll take a look at their OHIP card and see if they're a donor and if not go online and register."

We can register to be a donor at sarniaorgandonors.ca or at www.beadonor.ca.
