The Petrolia Squires begin the 2016-2017 regular season against Clinton at the Greenwood Recreation Centre Friday night.
Head Coach Brad Wright says a good chunk of last year's team is returning, a team that was two wins away from an appearance in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior AA championship.
Wright says they've added a few local players who enjoyed solid Junior B careers.
Former Lambton Shores Predators captain and Wyoming native Adam Arseneault will suit up for the Squires. So will former Sarnia Legionnaires Ryan Trottier, Cody Trowell, Tyler Prong and Brett Sauve, who recent wrapped up his NCAA Division-III career at Adrian College.
Wright, who is entering his third year behind the bench in Petrolia, also assumes the General Manager duties as former GM and President Dave Connors moved to the Toronto area for work.
