Another Hwy. 40 Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

Two St. Clair Township men have been arrested following a traffic stop on Highway 40 early Sunday morning.

OPP say an officer stopped a vehicle driving erratically around 2:30am just south of Confederation St.

A subsequent search allegedly found suspected Fentanyl and a small knife.

The driver and his passenger were transported to the Lambton OPP Petrolia Detachment where the driver was turned over to a Drug Recognition Expert for testing.

The driver, 25-year-old Aaron Ellis Dell is charged with driving while ability impaired, possession of a schedule one substance, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

The passenger, 25-year-old Corey Brown is charged with possession of a schedule one substance, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Both men were released from custody and will appear in Sarnia court December 14.

Late last week, Lambton OPP reported a traffic stop on Hwy. 40 Thanksgiving Monday led to a significant drug bust and the arrest of five people.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
