Well Known Celebrity Authors To Visit Sarnia

Retired Lieutenant-General Romeo Dallaire, former Maple Leafs Captain Darryl Sittler and astronaut Chris Hadfield are all coming to Sarnia for book signing events.

Book Keeper Manager Julie Vrolyk says Dallaire served as Force Commander of the United Nation's ill-fated peacekeeping force in Rwanda between 1993 and 1994 in which over 800,000 Rwandans died in ethnic genocide.

His latest book deals with his struggles with PTSD and he'll be at the Sarnia Library October 28 at 7pm at a ticketed event.

Sittler will be at the Book Keeper November 2 from 6pm-8pm.

Fiction and poetry author Richard Scarsbrook will be in town November 3 while astronaut Chris Hadfield will be in town December 3

"He'll be signing his new book The Darkest Dark" she says. "The children's book with some local locations talks about being afraid of the dark and his experiences with it and we all know where he ended up going."

Those three events are free.
