Search Warrant Leads To Drug Charges

Three Sarnia residents are facing drug trafficking charges after police executed a search warrant in the 100-block of Vidal St. S around 10pm Tuesday.

Officers seized 17 g of crystal methamphetamine, 14 g of marijuana, 29 codeine pills, five oxycodone pills, and $395 in cash. Police say the drugs are valued at just over $2,000.

David Chaisson, 57, Tiffany Viggers, 21, and Patricia Carr, 29, face two counts each of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Carr is also facing two additional charges of breach of recognizance.

All three were being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
