VPP Celebrates Canada

Victoria Playhouse In Petrolia is inviting you to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday next year with all productions written, composed, choreographed, directed and performed by Canadians.

VPP favourite Jesse Grandmont opens the season in May with music from Neil Young, to the Hip to Stompin' Tom.

Director of Performing Arts Richard Poore says "Happy Together 1967" will offer memories of Canada's Centennial year.

"We're going to reflect on music, t.v shows and memorable movies from that year," he says. "One of the highlights will be the inspiring story of one of Canada's greatest voices. Portia is the story of Portia White, Canada's first black singer to win international acclaim."
